I got a price and rough date.
Well at least you got a really good deal and the dealership is getting screwed. With the STi coming out EXACTLY as the magazines and internet car sites predicted I doubt the MR will be that much off.

Damn man I cant believe those prices. Here in the Netherlands with all kinds of taxes you pay +/_ $67.000 dollar for a IX. The VIII was the first Evolution wich was officially sold in the Netherlands, it went for +/_ $73.000
I'm coming to america, i can buy 2 for the price of one
The X as far as i heard from my dealer will be similar priced as the IX over here.

since my posty, i have read 3 newer topics on this forum saying GSR about 34k and MR about 39k. so yea everything still seems to say the same. im suppoused to call my dealer tomorrow so i'll keep you guys informed on what they tell me.
also, i keep reading that the MRs will be delayed till possibly spring of 2008. i'll let you know what they tell me about that as well.

Yeah, I feel thats the most likely thing to happen. But, maybe it turns out to be pretty good over all. Good enough to complete Mitsu's task to attract more customers. If thats the case, it should have a steady price for a while.
it does but white is just calling my name.
btw i called my dealer but the manager was on his way out, i called too late. so ima call earlier today and i'll lets ya'll know whats up.

Besides the people on EvoM, i have not seen one automotive magazine that did not love the X. Even in the reviews and videos where it just falls short of the IX and STI, everything has been positive.
yea the 38k is without taxes. i mean tax is tax and we all get fcked by it. at least the price was under 40k without tax. all in all, i rather get this evo over any audi or acura. if i drive a audi i feel wrong. im not rich and im giving all i got for the evo because of what it is and i just love the car. if i was in an audi i would feel like a rich guy thats not 100% happy with the car but bought it cause i had the money. and acura is ok but i rather the evo. besides the IX without tax is like 36k so with tax is almsot 40k and the evo x got more crap that makes it cost more (nothing i can do) and i dont wanna wait another 2 years for the next evo sedan.
all in all, my contract states if there is any changes to the car (including price) it will be adjusted. if it happens to actually cost 39k without tax, then i can at least argue i signed for 38k and since its on paper i should win that arguement.
i feel i made the right descision. my contract is flexible enough to save myself in most cases and also detailed enough to claim anything if its out of order or w/e.
besides my 3k deposit guarantees me my evo so i can sleep well.

Dont count your chickens before they hatch.. If someone (like me) walks in with money on the table, your car will be unexpectedly delayed.. I say this from example.. Thats exactly what I did at a local (Miami) dealership when the VIII came out. The first day it was there I walked in. They said that they all had deposits on them. I said, here's the money for the car.. They said, which color do you want.. I was the first one to purchase the EVO from the dealer.. But at the same time, I also heard that the MR is being delayed due to additional transmission tuning. This is also coming from Mits reps that I know on a personal level.. But, good luck anyways..
