My opinion of the X
this is funny, lol why dont we just phaze out the Lancer and just make the EXO X a family car.
The evo is one of the most advanced turbo running cars on the road, how much would you expect to pay?
If 7 is just too much for you, why not go for the bare bones rallyart version

I personally am not a fan of the overall layout on the X. Don't jump all over me for saying that. Look at what Honda did to the S2000 over the years. Small and large changes on each year made it better to some and worse to others.
The evo is the same way. It's still the same overall concept. Now it's just larger, heavier, and has a new powertrain. Aluminum used to be questionable when used in manufacturing engine blocks. Anymore....there is so much R&D going into making sure the car will last 100+ thousand miles. It has to be good. Will tuners be able to make insane horsepower numbers? Not so much anymore. But the car will respond to tuning better with MIVEC on intake and exhaust. I'm gonna guess the stock block should withstand 600-700hp for a reasonable amount of miles. Of course internals will need changing accordingly.
I hope to be surprised by higher numbers. This will be a response-oriented engine, and that's where it will shine.
The car has become bigger and thus heavier. 300 lbs over the IX. ouch. weight means alot. The engine is lighter by 30 lbs but the rest of the car became fat.
Granted all of that weight is in luxuries and soundeadening that the previous models didn't have. So take the good with the bad and make your decision on that one.
Finally we have the AYC. I just wish we had it in the VIII and IX.
As far as looks.....from the window line up the car looks great. below the windows that's another story. I like sharp lines and buldges that make the car look like it's growing out of its own skin. It's an attractive car still. Just more in a midsize family sedan way. Not a 4-door sports sedan.
And I'm not a fan of the dual exhaust.....easily fixable though.

When I first saw the X I thought what happened?!?! In my opinion, the Evolution is this big ugly spaceship looking car that you buy, strip out and go race! ... What happened to it, now its all about style and how pretty it looks, but in the end you don't drive the car from the outside.
How many anti-Evo X threads are you going to make before the car is even released? You have too many assumptions of what is going to happen without any evidence or case studies to form a logical argument.
