Well the X is a totally new car Mitsu might have some bugs to work out. I'm pretty sure by the time the XI comes out, it'll be significantly faster.

Right, people are all concerned about the stock #'s. And it's a TAD slower than the IX. 99% of people won't know the difference on the butt dyno anyway. People just like the complain about something....

And what happens if the X actually responds BETTER to mods. Then what will the haters say???? Oh, I forgot....they know it all already!

Either way, if it does respond to mods better, it will still have to make up for the large increase in weight...

Are you sure about that? Why would the X get 50-55 extra HP off mods? Lets remember were starting off around the same HP here BUT the X has to haul its fat A$$ around on top of that.

i wonder how many people complaining about the weigt increase would actually rip out all the airbags, bumper crash beams, side impact beams, etc. to get it back down. i mean, it would be free, and LIKELY take care of the disparity in acceleration between the IX and X. i personally wouldn't mind swapping the bumper crash beams with JDM aluminum units, which will may prove to be a popular mod for the USDM X. however, the airbags would stay...as would the side beams...
