The stunning reviews continue...
Heavier is always worse for people that want to shave off fractions of a second.
The X doesn't seem to know what it is, and tries to be everything at once. Is it a sophisticated performance vehicle for DD? Is it a hardcore rally car like its predecessors?
My question? Why should I buy a X? If I remember correctly, the jump from the VIII to the IX brought with it a bigger turbo and MIVEC. The jump to the X is giving us...a navigation system? A prettier interior? (we all know that's crucial when racing) A performance "increase" that's virtually negligible?
Why not just stick with the IX exactly? Or VIII for that matter?

The Evo X is like a v6 mustang or a supra without the turbo

I personally don't really have an issue with the X being slightly slower than the IX. Its really not that big a deal and can be improved to match ones personal tastes for speed once parts become available. What DOES worry me is reading countless journalists' reviews stating the X is "less communicative" "not as sharp-edged", etc. Changing the steering response/feel for the better is not easily accomplished. You can't just change the personality of a car to make it feel more high strung.
I'm glad you will, maybe people will see what a tard you are, street racing is stupid. Sure there is the occasional spur of the moment but if you do it every day then you are not only endangering yourself, people in the car with you, but also the people on the roads. If what I just said is true for you then I hate to say it but I would be glad if you hit a telephone pole.

you do sound like a b*tch, LOL
Before you X fanboys start ganging up on me, understand this: If only you guys could have the chance to own both a IX and a X. Drive one one day and the other the next day. Alternate daily for a good month. I'd love to hear what you guys would say after that experience.
Understand also that Mitsubishi reads these forums. They just might listen to our complaints and build the X that we want. I, for one, want an Evo Sportback RS version. The attached thumbnail is an image of the Concept Sportback.
There's one thing that I absolutely love about the X over the IX. That it's a safer car in a collision. The side impact protection specifically.

in fact i bet 80-90% of people here and in all of north america DON'T track, auto-x, or drag their evos. and street racing doesn't count. so all anybody wants the evo for is looks and street cred?
yeah i guess the evo will be safer and require less skill to drive and have more creature comforts but is that why anyone wants to buy an evo?....i mean if you want that there are alot better cars out there and they cost much less....like the honda accord or something....i mean ask yourself why did you buy an evo..cuz you wanted more performance, better handling, and a car that was more of a driver's car than your average car out there....right?....if not then there is no reason to buy an evo or any sports car for that matter...i mean that's why you buy a truck...to haul things around and such.....you buy an suv cuz you got lots of people to carry around and safety is a big priority cuz you have kids or whatever....i'm not saying these things aren't important cuz they are....but you don't buy an evo for safety, luxury, or things of this nature....you can find all of that in a better package such as a lexus, acura, or whatever
we all can't afford M3's ya know?
people on this forum seriously have to put things in perspective...
