who else is dead even between IX & X
Looked and drove the IX , PUTS ON FLAME SUIT
As one journo put it previous EVOS were mere "replica rally cars" , i am glad to be getting a grown up , still fast refined Evo X MR
Hopefully all the bugs get ironed out from the TC SST , and Australia Mitsu revises the silly $ 75,000 asking price then
ID HIT IT after test driving it .
Cheers

if I was buying an Evo as a PURE daily driver, I would get the EvoX.
Assuming for a second that the X is going to be as good as the IX for mods, then the X would be a better choice for daily drivers.
if you are tracking it, then get the IX... not necessarily faster but will feel faster

lol your a fool if u think the new engine isnt a big deal. the 4g63 is proven and has only gotten better each year. the X has already been tested on the quarter running almost 14's in the mr and 13.6's fastest time in the gsr 5 speed. so your telling me the same mods this car is going to get is going to be just as fast if not faster then a ix with the same mods? cmon kiddo. thats almost solid evidence that its not going to.
Ill wait and see though and yes ill be getting one prolly in March.

I am looking forward to the SST equip Evo X. So far, there hasn't been many positive news coming out for this tranny. I am however going to hold out getting the X until a year or 2 later when all the issues have been sort out by Mitsu & there are reliable, affordable and strong aftermarket support for the Evo X ( & SST tranny).
You think the price is silly, then you should check out how much the base Evo X GSR cost here in tiny Singapore. A cool US$ 95k from the authorize dealer(& that considering car price now is the lowest in the pass 2 decades, and a 40% price drop from the peak of the late 90s).

Aftermarket though, there should be a strong support for it as it is, there isn't a great need for R & D seeing as the majority of major aftermarket parts companies have already been playing with a JDM version for a few months now.
