I have made the second leg of the same trip to pick-up my VIII back in 05 (I was living in Phoenix). I used backroads on my way back, and it was one of the best drives I made. You have a much longer drive back, but I would highly recommend it if you can find the time and energy. It helps avoid the constant rpm break-in...

Probably going to be tomorrow night on that. We're on the Arizona/California border, and its time for some shut eye! I have all kinds of impressions on this car so far.

 

Goodluck. I drove the whole trip before. but mine was from Ventura California to Daytona Beach FL. then to Virginia Beace VA... drive it have fun and I know the canyons out of California are the best.

 

wow this looks like fun.... but a lot of driving...

Seth, It is funny how things come full circle. Shiv and I picked up the X two days ago, and so far, the thing is incredible. It will be interesting to hear if you pick up on the same personality traits, of the car that we have. I sure there are very few people on this board that have driven a 335, and evos 8, 9 and 10 for an extended period of time. Congrats!

 

Post some close up pics of it as soon as you get a chance. I would really like to see what the real deal looks like up close.
