Certified scaled weight of the Evo X...

Well I drove the Evo up to my truck stop where I have a CAT Scale. Decided to weigh it out, heres what it came to:

3560lbs, quarter tank of gas, no driver, empty trunk.
Its about 120lbs more than the stock 2005 MR we weighed which was 3420, with a full trunk, what you guys think?

Shahin

Certified scale? Regular old truck scales you find at weigh stations and such aren't especially accurate.

Cat scales are certified scales, they are precisely accurate as all trucks on the road must meet certain weight requirements, gross and per axle. I could give you the exact axle weight bias from the front to the rear of the car. The scale is certified/calibrated regularly. regardless was just trying to give an idea and to help.

By empty trunk i meant no extra stuff, spare and jack was all intact.
thanks

For an unbiased comparison see:

Just the facts mam! You decide if the X is a corpulent rotund gluttonous beast of a car.

I can't wait to see the MR weight!

I understand *your* reading was on a calibrated scale, I was asking about the guy who replied with the weight of his IX. I've seen non-certified truck scales all over the place.

So the X is 3.5% heavier.

And people still use that as a major reason for not buying it. That's funny.....
