Its a camera trick. There is no tracer.

 

But that is a neat idea Its just a slow shudder causing motion blur. The gauge cluster looks amazing in person btw. The center information screen changes colors depending on the type of information. For instance, if the car detects icy roads, it flashes bright yellow and says "ICY CONDITIONS!". Pretty cool stuff.

 

damn if the X actually had that tracer cluster I would go trade my IX in right now for one.

 

And they say blinky lights dont sell things.. ;p

 

The reason the needle looks like that is because the picture is a time lapse picture. Nothing special as far as that goes

 

Dang I was hoping it was a tracer because that would be pretty sick IMO.
