What are you guy's paying for your X?

I came back from the dealership yesterday after driving a X. I was very very close to signing the papers for a GSR w/ SSS package. I got it down to $100 over MSRP as they were very hungry for a sale. The initial mark-up was 6K over invoice which put the car in the 335i territory. Car is fantastic! Front-end really grows on me.

-Seating position is just about right for a good frontal view of the road.
-Lood midrange power; makes a good surge of power above 3k.
-Had a fairly comfortable ride.

A couple gripes:

-Notice that the front lip was scuffed a little bit due to backing out of the transport.
-Seat side bolsters make it hard to side into and out of the vehicle; good for keeping you in place.
-Clutch engagement is too high up top. Coming from an older corolla, I could not get use to this initially.
-Rear spoiler blocks the rear vision.

I think i'll hold off on this one.

I came to this forum today about to start a thread like this, but you beat me to it I'm getting ready to pick one up, but I will not pay anything over sticker price. It's not worth it.

And their inventory shows they have plenty in stock right now. Even with shipping costs it would be cheaper than paying MSRP.

from what i've seen South Coast has the best prices in the nation! compared to CO, i'd still be coming out thousands ahead even after shipping from CA!

^Damn, I hope that they give me a good deal on my MR when they release. Then I can screw the Bay Area dealerships.

Bastards and their mark-ups.

39k after Tax, title, registration, etc and I got the following options:

SSS, Aero kit, Media kit (Blue tooth + Nav + 30gb HDD), interior aluminum kit, custom leather (Two tone on the seats, black on the edges, wicked white down the center to match the car), free oil changes (including air and oil filter) for life, $500 service voucher, window tinting, 3M Clear bra (Hood, both bumpers, side skirts, mirrors, and pillers), interior sealant / Water guard (I go to the mountain to board alot), and they gave me 20k for my Evo VIII in trade and agreed to remove all the aftermarket parts and install the factory parts. I also got $1500 in factory rebates.
