So let me get this straight, it isn't a EVO because it doesn't look like a IX or VIII, so the IX and VIII shouldn't be EVOs because they don't look anything like the EVO I through EVO VI. Come on dude, this has to be one of the dumbest threads yet. I thought your were gonna say it isn't an EVO because it doesn't have a 4G63T or something, but because it doesn't look like a EVO???? I agree. But you are a hypocrite. Just being positive for the sake of the X being a new car is ALSO BS! You guys know nothing about the X's capabilities other than it's handling (which doesn't take years of research to realize) and yet, you are ready to write it off as being a car with a superior engine and superior power potential to the previous generations (VIII/IX).. It's quite laughable! The 4G63 has been in development for years and years. And if you weren't so unhappy with your previous EVO (which must have been a weak and ragged car), maybe you wouldn't be riding the X's jock so much..

At least the trolls have a reason to troll - the car hasn't even proven itself yet - which is their bases for trolling it.

 

Evo I-IX look like a conservative progression similar to the 911. Every iteration has the same overall look and shape.

The X reminds me of what Ford did to the Mustang.

THIS IS WHAT IS GOOING TO HAPPEN.... Mitsu will cintinue to improve in this EVO X and will release new versions with better options which will put the car where it needs to be so the early buyers will be quite upset 2 years from now when the Perfect EVO Xs come out...

You're dead on. I don't think anyone would complain about the X if the power-to-weight ratio was more in line with the IX. Heck, just make it at least as fast as the IX if not a hair faster and not a single person would complain. I said that exact same thing in a thread I started over 2 months ago.
