I hadn't used this technology before my X, but now I love it. Its so great not having to fumble for keys.

The only annoying thing I have found so far is when a passenger gets out of his/her side and hits the arm button on the door. You get hit with a nice barrage of beeps. Its like: "If you don't know what it is, don't touch it, sucka!"

I like it, took a little bit getting used to, I think they should had made it a push start though.

So is it actually an alarm too, or just a keyless entry/start system?

Also, does it only come w/one remote, or can you buy an extra & for how much?

mine came with two remotes. which i assume is pretty standard.

i agree with the push start, although the bmw push start works for ****, so who knows if the evo one would have been any better.

also, since i have it, i now hate the lock on my front door. i need to make that keyless too

The little black button on the door locks all my doors.

I don't have an Evo X, but my wife's RX-8 has the same exact "keyless" system. Even has the same type of "fake key" in the ignition that you turn to start the car. It's very convenient and a nice feature.

This is a major selling point on the Evo for me. I've test driven a 335i with that feature and my father's C6 Corvettes both have the keyless systems and they are awesome.

Not having to use your keys is the best thing IMO. I love that now my car has those little luxury features of the Audi's, BMW's out there.
