Did you guys change the mounting base too? That base is different than the one i beleive the OP is talking about. Does your X have the NAV? From what i can tell it looks like the ones without NAV have the different pivoting base.

That's a nice little unit, I hope Vivid is selling those. That should be mod #1 for every X owner.

Yes our X has the NAV, now I need to find a GSR with out NAV to see if it will work, since we been listening to the satellite radio we haven't used the regular radio.

And yes we sell those. Any locals want to bring your GSR by the shop??

Regards
Jon

I think this has to be for non satellite radio cars. I just have SSS and no Navi, but I have braked really hard a couple of times with no contact. I'm pretty sure I could rearend a bus at 60mph and my antenna would not hit my roof.

I think he meant to say "flex" not pivot. Cause looking at that picture I cant see any slot for it to pivot around, unlike the Canadian versions which actually can rotate around in the slot backward and forward.

Our shop car has the base radio and has a pivoting antenna the goes back and forth in a slot as you describe. So I guess this is only a problem for cars with the base radio.

Just go here and get one of these:

http://www.visualgarage.com

I e-mailed them about the fitment on my 08 GTS w/ sat radio. They are sure it fits the base model pivoting antenna, but not positive if it will fit over the sat antenna. They have it listed in the drop down menu, but if it doesn't fit then Arthur at VG said he would give a full refund. FYI.
