WARNING!! X owners read here-

Big heavy antennas mounted on a semi-loose pivot will dent your aluminum roof badly just slamming on the breaks. Under hard breaking that antenna pivots hard forward and slaps into the roof, denting it. Mitsu clearly never tested this antenna on the EVO. A lighter antenna or tighter pivot or combination of the two would be a real good idea.

Im confused, are you saying the stock antenna does this? Mine doesn't appear to pivot at all.

Kevin pointed out under hard braking(probably under track conditions or just heavy driving) I'm sure if you drive around town normally you wouldn't notice this. We use the agency power shorty antenna. if you guys need one PM me.

Thanks Kevin for pointing this out as I was also not aware of this.
