Question for Wicked White owners
Question for Wicked White owners
Is your hood scoop a different colour? Mine is more of an off-white and the difference is noticeable. Not sure if it's because the scoop is plastic and the hood isn't, or I just got a dud!
take it back to the dealer and make them repaint it. thats not acceptable, different material or no.
(on a side note, i see you are in houston. where did you get your car, how was your experience w/ them, was the price good... yadda yadda. thanks.

When you guys say the same: do you mean it's the same colour or yours is the same as mine and a different colour?

I'm in love with the car. The VIII left me today and I thought I would cry, but it wasn't at all bad because whitey was sat there to console me. I have no clue how your 911 is, but (as you know) mine was horrible. I would not hesitate to trade the stupid thing in again. Your 911, on the other hand, is much nicer than mine so.... If you can get both then that would be ideal!
Plastic & metal are always hard to match given that the factory never paints them assembled together. My Blue is noticably different. Especially the rear & front bumper covers. I have not noticed it on the white, but have been told that Octane blue & Apex silver were more noticeble.
I use to work as a process engineer in the paint dept. at the Mini plant when they first came out in 01 and the yellows were the most difficult color to match. I'm sure that they've corrected it since then and I think Mitsubishi will get a better color match later as well. Sice we all have first produdtion vehicles, we are always the guinea pigs.
Hope that helped.

Sounds like you made the right move. Your 911 was awful for you. I'm going to poke around next week and see who has Xs in stock.
i actaully stopped by there only to talk to a bunch of high pressure, poor english speaking middle eastern fellows. i much prefered my experience at the west end dealer on I-10.
Haha, just playing. I posted pictures on the other sites we frequent if you want to see. If you were local I'd let you take her for a spin....
