This thread is a little misleading. Make sure you guys read the thread he links to in the original post. The thread was about mark ups on the VIII when it first came out.

There are no confirmed reports of a $20k mark up on a X.

 

The thread was from March 2003 so I guess there was a $20,000 markup on the Evo 8 at that San Jose dealer when it was released in the States. Pretty unbelievable, too bad the picture isn't still up.

 

Correct. The original pic link showed the $20K premium markup on the car in the showroom. My point is toward the other thread here lamenting about the X premium markups. It's the same with each new model; just wait a while. My new 2003 had a $2000 premium markup. I actually did pay a "premium" of $300 after telling the sales manager I'll take it today (MSRP + $300) and headed for the door. The next 2003 Evo VIII I saw in the "wild in my area" was 6 months later. It was nice having an uncommon car.

It would have duped lots more if post 1 had not been ph33r the red X. 20k, wow. I bought my 03 for like $800 off sticker and the sales manager was acting like I ripped his arm off. He's like "I've never discounted an Evo before. This is only my third one."

 

Yea umm.. ill take an M3 or even get the z06 lol, maybe the skyline haha
