Indianapolis Evo's

Hola All,
Got a call on the 6-7th from our local Mitsu dealership.. They had 3 in.. 2 whites and a dark gray.. Dark Gray had the body kit, hid lights, nav, etc.. Want to say it was $39,586.00.. They told me the cars had been in stock for a week. No markup, but they didn't seem to want to deal at all...

Offered me a lease on the car if I wanted it.. They didnt go into details about the lease because I really wasn't interested in leasing it, but I seem to remember lease was going to be like 4k down and $417 p/month(5k p/year).

Salesman introduced me to the sales manager, and they offered me tickets to the World of Wheels Car Show which was in town last weekend. Couldn't schmooz on me enough, i still feel dirty!! hehe Nah, they were very nice!! Was a rainy night, so they told me to come back another day to test drive.

I am not at a financial spot i want to be, so told them i wouldn't be in the market for 2-3 months. 2 weeks later, I am still getting calls and snail mail from them wanting me to come back in and buy it...

So evidently they aren't selling as well here in Indy...

PS - saw an STI, at suby dealership, two days before the evo. They are also still calling me to come buy it. Suby dealer told me he had a lot of "kids" coming in and wanting to buy it, but their credit would never approve...

I know exactly what you mean. I was actually suprised how many phone calls I have been getting from all these different dealerships. Never knew how much pressure they could put on you.

I also didn't realize how good my credit actually was. When ford ran a credit check on me, the sales lady said I could walk out with whatever I was interested with today. Being only 20, I kinda liked the idea haha =P.

Either way, im still going to pay cash for whatever I get. Which will probably be a used evo. I have decided that out of all the cars, I will get an evo, but I don't know if i want to pay 35-40k for an evo X. I might try and find a used evo for around the 20k mark.

I think a used one would probably be a better deal, but who knows.

Well if you all would not go into a dealership and lead them into thinking you were going to buy I dont think they would be calling you wasting their time.

Some places do call, just for the hell of it. A friend bought an '06 lancer es in Oct of '06 & the following spring, got a call from Mitsu asking if he wanted to trade in for an '08 lancer.
