mine did shut off after turning it on once but the 6k sputtering is still there....

for the guys who has the erratic idle, do you guys allso get the studder
at 6k rev? My dealership said MMC know about this issue, But i dont know if i should trust them. Im sure someone that work for Mitsu HQ read this forum. speak up please.

Not yet, but I'll keep an eye out.... Mitsu can be slow to react... Remember the 03 clutch restrictors in the evo 8?

No. Care to tell me about this? I've had my 03 since new and I don't remember an issue with restrictors.

thanks for all the info gents. looks like i will have to wait until mitsu comes up with a solution.

Does this mean that the cars that ship with the correct "tune" will not see the same impressive gains that some of the current evo's are seeing.

I dont think that will be the case. If anything, the one with the correct tune.
will net more HP/TQ baseline on the same Dyno.

Right, but that also means less gains with mods too..

yes less gain with the same mod. But with the same bolt on,
at the end both car will end up having the same amount of HP/TQ with the same
bolt on.
