My aesthetic opinions of the X...
I don't think my car is perfect, and the reason that I said this thread is pointless is because it isn't going anywhere. Every car has pros and cons, but it just amazes me when people genuinely don't want to like something just because they like what they got so much. It's almost like it makes them feel more content with their car by not letting themselves like another. I love the 9, and just because I have a X doesn't mean that I don't give the 9 credit for being a great car. The problem however is that I think that people who have 9's blindly hate X's far more than the other way around. Canexican falls into this category. When someone goes to look at a car with a mindset of not liking the car, then they are going to force themselves to not like what they see. Canexican doesn't like the X because he's in love with his 9, so when he writes a review of his impressions of the car it is going to be negative no matter what. This thread is pointless because it's not really a topic of discussion with any real depth. It's either going to be people agreeing or disagreeing, and it's pointless. I am leaving this thread alone now, I don't feel like wasting my time anymore. I'll see you guys in the worthwhile threads.
The X's interior isn't better in HIS opinion. That doesn't make him a hater.
When the Hyundai Genesis, Evo Ralliart, GT-R, Supra, and later EVO XI comes out and you are still paying for your X, we'll see how your reviews are... "that GT-R is pretty good, but I like my X better for the money.. I don't like that it's an automatic, I like my X's manual trans.. the Genesis may be light and swift, but I like my X's feel.. the Supra has a strong V-8 motor, but I like that the X is turbo...etc.. etc.."
People can take pride in what they have and not be considered haters..
Because when you've just purchased a brand new car, you'd like it better if people fawn all over your new toy. Otherwise, you believe negative comments are an attack on your intelligence.

So what the OP has this review, so the OP thinks the X stinks......that's his opinion! Big Deal! It's not affecting me any because I have different viewpoint(s).
Btw - Common sense says there are going to be pros and cons about Any car and Every car...........I would think Most X owners would know this by now.

The ride was a bit rough and untamed, though I understood why. The new Evo X's ride is astonishing. It's cornering is better than most cars far more expensive. The IX would give it a run in a straight line, but if you add a few twisties, the X would dominate. Plus, if you saw the X in person, you would be an instant fan...

Eveyone is entitled to their own opinion, so whatever. I'm not going to argue with you, but I will say this; every review from every magazine and unbiased source says that the interior is far nicer, the exterior is way nicer (anyone with eyeballs and taste can tell that), and that the car is a much better overall package than the previous model. Diffrent strokes for different folks, I suppose. So, enjoy your 9, I will enjoy my X, and we will see later on down the road which one really is the better car. I would say this though, if you've been following the results of AMS, TT, VISHNU, and AGP, the car is proving to be a beast. Makes more power mod for mod than the 9 did. Period. Now, I know that it may have sacrificed some of the rawness for refinement, but no matter how you look at it, it's the more capable car. That doesn't mean that you have to like it, but you do have to acknowledge the facts. It brakes better, handles better, and with basic mods makes ENORMOUS gains, moreso than any other car in any class that I've ever seen. I've never heard of a car gaining over 100 hp with intake, catback, and a mbc set at factory boost levels. That's insane. So like I said before, if you don't like it then don't buy it, but try to be more subjective next time you give a car review and not let your love for your 9 cause you to make comments that, quite frankly, are ridiculous. Interior better in the 9, c'mon man.
You know what dude do you make it your business to belittle everybody that says something negative about the X. You throw your opinion around like gospel (hint reading car and driver all day does not make you smarter than everybody else). If that is what this guy thinks then so be it...you aren't going to change his mind by calling him ridiculous. Maybe you should do some more research before posting too because everytime somebody proves you wrong you either leave or call the thread worthless. The IX has also gained 100whp with basic bolt ons too so maybe you should look alittle harder. Its winter time...all you have is overdone dyno numbers....no track times. Yea read into the marketing a little too much...the X is the new thing of course its going to be all hyped up. Yea we can see LATER down the road which car is better because as of now the VIII and IX are already proven...what has the X proven, dyno numbers? Yes the X responds incredibly well...but the reliability has not been proven (yes it should be good) and there is virtually no track testing done. So quit saying the X is better "period" "end of story" type bs. I like the X and may even consider it...but I will wait to see how it does after awhile...I am not easily impressed (like some people) by certain vendors or hyped up dyno numbers that only had a "couple" gallons of race gas... We all know the X is good but you declaring the holy grail when it just hit dealers is pretty worthless. I am sure you posted about how much better the STI was over the evo too when you had yours...but now look what car you own, thats all that matters right? Don't take this as attacking you, I just enjoy pointing out your least thought out posts. If you dont it like well....you do it to alot of other people. Just notice everytime you post a bs comment there will be somebody to call you out on it

But you make comments about the older versions, wich is not cool. Or start arguing about the dyno vs crank numbers: like the stock crank hp vs whp is stayes , wont matter how much whp you gain/ example if the difference 30 hp then if you have 500 whp the engine is still only 30 hp more at a crank/. And when somebody post they different opinion about that, it is irritates you.
Remember that arguement too? Seems to me the irritates coming from different opinions. So instead you get irritated ,just listen ...

I went and saw the X yesterday and pretty much agree with everything you said. My ratings would be pretty inline. I was definitely not a fan of the aero kit however. I thought the side skirts came out WAY to far. They look like side steps on a truck. The new seats are WAY more supportive but i think they are uglier. I was more impressed with the car then i thought but i could never bring myself to pay $38k for it. At that point you might as well get a 335i
So I am guessing a lot of you people who are throwing a fit about the review are the type of people who will listen to a radio show or watch a tv show and ***** about the content and complain to the network how they are awful for allowing it, etc etc........when all you have to do is turn the station and ignore it

My honest opinion (for all you haters out there ) is that the X is a nice car over all, and there are advantages and disadvantages. Looking at the pictures online i was convinced that my IX was a boxy out-dated somewhat ugly car by comparison... until I went to the local dealership and saw 5 different Evo X's in person... the X does look good, but in real life I think its safe to say that pictures dont do the VIII/IX justice and the X doesnt look as jaw dropping as I thought it would by comparison- dont get me wrong, still looks great, just not rediculously better looking like I thought it would. Also, the interior quality was not as impressive as I had expected either... the AC controls were nicer, but the plastic dash was not Audi level quality (I have owned 4 Audis and I can tell you its not anywhere near the same quality) but maybe it will look better with the leather and the Navigation system... which comes in at over $40K. Haters, if you are still with me try not to be butt hurt, because I do like the car and if they make an RS that weighs as much as my 06 I would consider one down the road... I wish USDM Evo IX's came with SAYC, and that is one advantage the Evo X has, but for now I am content with my IX.
