Need some help...

I think I'm crazy for thinking of getting rid of my e39 M5 and replacing it with the new EvoX. Don't get me wrong I love the M5, I guess it's just the thought of getting a newer car...wouldn't get the new e60 M5, don't like the style. I looked at the new STI, but can't get past the hatchback look, my bro just got the Lancer GTS, and looks pretty nice since he lowered it. I still haven't had the chance to drive the EvoX, so I guess once I drive it, I'll know. So keep M5 or try something new? Need to keep 4 doors, have two small kids.

What kind of driver are you? What do you want in a car? What's important to you? Do you hit the race track or drag strip on occassion? Give us more to work with and they'll be plenty of guys on here that can help.

i think the main thing you will here is "how can you throw away the luxury of the m5 for the cheap plastic interior of a mitsu"

which is weird, cause who the hell buys an evo for luxury?

i traded in my s4 for my x (although i also owned an 8) and i haven't missed the luxury of my audi once in the last month.

Why? The Evo X is like half the price of your car... Some how the X does have the M5 beat on gas mileage ('08 M5 = 11/17). If you trade in the M5, Mitsu will give you the X & end up owing you money

Good replies, yes definetly not doing it for "luxury." I think the less luxury is better anyways with my two little ones, for the most part no food in the car, but there are days were they have to have a snack after a long day running around.

I say I'm a spirited driver, of course normal driver when kids and wife are in the car, I still want a car that can haul my kids but I can still have "fun" when I'm driving by myself. Just had a spirited drive with a Carrera on the way home. No track can't afford maintenance if I tracked my cars.

We are planning on moving to Colorado, so I'm sure the AWD will help when it snows. I had an X5 but got rid of it when I inherited an MDX when my dad passed away.

Simple, if you value driving pleasure more than creature comfort, go get an X.

Only you can decide if you can live with the spartan interior and luxury-less EVO. You should drive a BMW 335xi sedan if your considering a move CO, it will also have similar low end torque to your M5.
