Test drove a X today (NC)...
I went up to the local Mitsu lot (Bob King here in Winston-Salem) the other day to check out the new X and low and behold they were unloading like 12 of them when I got there. They still had all the wrapping on them of course so I went back up today to get a better look. I REALLY like the blue ones in person. They look very nice. I was considering trading for a blue one so I test drove one and here are my thoughts...
GOOD
1. Creature comforts like cruise control, 6 disc cd changer
2. Very smooth ride
3. Smooth in terms of powerband
4. New Recaro's are VERY snug
5. The blue was a great looking car
BAD
1. Coming from my modded car, I might as well have been driving a Galant lol It felt so slow to me
2. I drove the one right out of being cleaned so it had a whole 4 miles on it. I might have driven it about 5 giving it a total of 10 miles. When we got back, after just 10 miles, I could smell nothing but burning clutch. It was ridiculous. I'm no amateur in terms of manual driving so I could just imagine a new driver riding that clutch. Unless that was just "newness" wearing off, I don't think the clutches will hold up well at all.
Overall, I was pleased with that dealership (which says alot because I normally don't care for dealerships). The salesmen weren't pushy or anything and treated me fairly so
to them. They ended up just 1000 short of what I had set in my head for what I had to get out of mine or I would have driven out of there with blue X lol Maybe later/next year or something

Not anymore. Just a sole red one left. I bought the blue one they had on Saturday. They will sell them for $1000 over invoice. The best price on the East coast, at least that I have found, by far. Ask for Devon or Clem Miller the sales manager and tell them Brian sent you. Great guys to work with.

My car had the clutch smell for the first 50 miles or so and it has gone away. Last night thought I left a light with a little spirit and the car smelled like dump for 30 minutes. It is still an EVO
Its probably the brake pads. I used to sell lincolns/mercurys (i know, really exciting stuff) and after every new car test drive it smelled really bad...it was always from the pads.
