EVO X GSR Sold.....
WHO IS FULLBOOST ??? they are just a tuning shop, this article isnt shocking, they dont make parts, so why have the evo. his reasoning is backwards....99 % of evo owners drive on the streets 99% of the time. this is why we like some options on a car...hey fullboost why dont you go get an arial atom, if you are so hardcore, i think the evo 8-9 are to plush for you ricky bobby.
It's ridiculous.
Not only are these dudes trying to sway you from getting a GT-R which will be leagues ahead of the X in handling and performance, they still bash you and your times!
There's no winning this.. but I'm glad you came up front!

Thanks for posting. Don't mind all the haters. Apparently they don't understand that freedom of speech means listening to things you don't want to hear. I did not like the X either when I drove it and got bashed for my review. It doesn't change my opinion and I think your numbers sound pretty reasonable. It is impossible to say a 14.1 means a bad driver because the track and temperature conditions can easily slow down or speed up a car by 1/2 a second. I hope you have better luck with the GT-R.

Road course driver 1 IX GSR - 2:31 / 2:15 / 2.18
Road course driver 2 IX GSR - 2:25 / 2:32 / 2:20
Road course driver 1 X GSR - 2:46 / 2:42 / 2.39
Road course driver 2 X GSR - 2:42 / 2:43 / 2:45
25 second difference!? Are you sure the X was running on all 4 Cylinders? Them numbers dont make sense at all.

You've done nothing but troll the X forums since its release looking for any chance to belittle and put down the new car. Your IX is a fine piece of machinery; is it really worth your time to go around convincing everyone that the new car isn't up to snuff?

just as this guy has the right to buy and sell a car after 1200 miles and to post his opinion and numbers that he did, people like me and you and everybody in between have the right to express their views on this matter.
The manner in which this post was written though, leaves a lot of things to be said about it. Some peeps will slam him just because, and some like NOIZE, the moderator, will logically try to take apart some of the things this guy wrote, especially that the numbers he posted in there dont really make sense.
To me its more about some more basic things and i posted that, for example if you race the thing, prep it, bring down the weight, install a better suspension, wait for some good performance parts that come out, and what rubbed me the wrong way and made me question this guys logic in making the decision to sell the X,...
was his comment about tuning of the X??? There is NO ONE out there yet, even in Japan (as far as i know when i write this) that has full capability of tuning the X. Yet Mr.FullBoostRacing says that the IX responds better to tuning or some garbage... That alone makes him look a bit foolish in having made decision that he did. Oh, well, do whatever you want/
I, on the other hand, will wait till summer when the 09 GSRs start showing on the lots, i will drive one and make a decision whether i like it or not. By then, a few decent parts should be out, perhaps a tuning tool (COBB AP and streettuner software or ECUFlash, i hope) and some well documented posts that show how X repsonds to mods and tuning, but to sell your new X right now when a lot of things are so uncertain and unproven? whatever
lastly, no one will probably read this, depending on how many and how quickly next post pile up after mine, so, so long i say
ROCK ON
whatever

for the record...
I am a huge evo fan, I plan on getting an mr next year, I am buying a gtr
What ninja x said is true about some things, but most of that is in japan with the nannies, we won't get a gps moniter , I can sell it the day after I buy it... Call nna if you like
As far as moddability, look at the evo x's ecu, tough to crack but will be cracked, just give it time.... Japan officials have cracked down very harshly on tuners, street racers etc... So there are compliance issues from mitsu and nissan , not a "slap in the face"....
As far as the gtr's performance.... Feel free to check the edmunds video or autocars video or 5th gears video on youtube... Besting a gt3, new m3, 911 turbo.. Etc on rockingam circuit in England ... And it was a consumers car... Plus see edmunds test of 3.3 and 11.6 quater mile
The gtr is a monster, don't get it twisted... And its far from some gt cruiser... Handles quite well.... Its smaller than the new accord coupe and does weigh alot... But as I said earlier in this thread.. "welcome to the new world of forced safety".....
Last thing, I didnt realize you had 1200 miles on it only... Juts a thought.... Maybe break the car In 1st?? Then judge and flog it??
If you don't evolve youll get stuck in the past

A lot of people complaining either just bought an X or waiting to buy an X, you guys might feel the same way he does when all the HYPE and newness of the X wears off and you have to make that $500-$600 monthly payment for an underpowered evo.
