From what I know, a price of 37,xxx is going to be very likely for a base MR. We pretty much know what the Navi is going to cost which is by the way quite good as navigation systems go. So loaded out with every option will push over 40k

^This mitsubishi has an automated-manual transmission, unlike the STi w/it's standard manual trans.

Subaru w/similar options $40,741

Base MSRP w/nav & rims - $38,795
Sirius - $453
Sport Grille - $335
Side Moulding - $198
Sub/Amp - $315
Destination Charge $645

Yes, but the over $40k price on the MR includes the Navi, Rockford system, & aero package. My pricing compared similar packages on the STi w/these similar packages on the MR. Plus the MR SST alone would be worth at least an additional $1,000, if it were an option.

Oh, & I'm sure that if you buy from South Coast, invoice pricing would be available on the MR, so you would take off about $2,000 from the total.

It is a nice car.... nice engine, cant argue about the interior... and if you want a 3 pedal 6 speed thats the way to go.....

but the sti finished behind the GSR and VW R32 in a recent test (C&D), and understeers quite a bit from what I hear from a friend of mine that has one now and had a 04 sti....

good luck with it, at least you have some more cargo space too

^ That's what I've heard. I talked to Sam & asked, since I may/may not be down in LA in the last week of March. He said that there is a good chance that they will be in during the last week of March, but he told me to call back in the middle of March. He didn't say yes or no. I will call him in 1 week & post his response.

I've been told by SoCal; "any day now". They said customs is the real holdup.

^ Sam & others at South Coast do seem very honest. If they weren't they'd keep telling me what I'd want to hear & say yes to the earlier dates, w/o hesitation.

Nope... I've just been told to call in the middle of March & other than that, they'll call me when the car that I've asked for (base PB MR) comes in.
