Boost gauge- What part of the firewall did you run the line through?
There is also a grommet where the washer fluid line runs from inside the car out thru the back side of the passenger side quarter panel (near the door hinges). If you follow the washer fluid line back into the car you will see it. I havent seen the one on the firewall yet. I will look tonight. If you have the glove box out, look towards the passenger 1/4 panel and you can see some access holes where the wires and hoses run out.

I also thought about running it that way, because of that gap in the fender, there is all that room for access. But I couldn't see a fast way to do it. Trying to fish a line through the inner fender well without dropping the fender liner seemed tedious. With enough time I'm sure that could be done.
Sorry so late guys, but here are the pictures.
This is under the dash, you can see the extra "carpet".:

Here is under the hood, its hard to see, but if you follow that vacuum line back, that is the hole where the grommet is:

Hope this helps some of you out.

Its the Omori 46mm color changing gauge that I used in my IX. Its been lonely for nearly a year.
I used Kerr's spot to go through, thanks heaps for the pictures. That was about ten thousand times harder than doing a boost controller in an X, which took all of three minutes. This took closer to an hour doing right, using a hanger, etc. I got power fron the fuse box below. Cake on that part.
We gotta chat man, I'm looking at getting an X in a few months as well. Debating on the MR with SST.
But anyway, when you find a good spot for the boost gauge line, let me know.
Dan the man! What are you doing, sucker?!? We need to get together fo sho. Give me a ring sometime and PM me if you lost my number.
