i could say that they are melting because of pollution, caused by cars, that burn too much gas, which is what the oil people want, and they use political influence to keep this going, an on,..

newsflash, gas prices in europe for example are an equivalent of 8USD/gallon, i would like to know how many people could careless about that, if i had to pay that much i would be looking for vw polo turbo-diesel that gets 70+mpg and puts prius to shame next, oh i forgot diesel prices are higher that gas in us, which is the reverse of what it should be, perhaps so that diesel technology doesnt come back too soon, so that the oil moguls can make a lot of money fast from us americans burning through gas like crazy.

so what does this have to do with price of evo you ask? well at least 8USD/gallon is relevant, it will make me want to sell you mine really fast, the only problem is that i have a 9.

enjoy

Please try to keep the political discussions out of this. The economy is relevant, to a degree, but keep the "who's going to screw us more if they win the election" discussions for OT.

Most Europeans have the advantage of a world class transit system. In Europe, most people don't want cars due to the burden of cost and finding parking. I'd gladly pay $10 a gallon if I commuted by rail and only drove for fun.

As our economy worsens, and yes it will, imported goods will eventually become higher than domestic. Anything that requires freight to transport will cost more. If we fall into conditions of a depression, then the EVO could easily cost more than $50K USD. The extent of how far we fall will rest primarily on if our government continues to bail out large banks.

Buy precious metals before we bottom out. Sell them when we bottom out. Buy real estate when we bottom out. Sell the real estate when we grow again.

As we get later in the year and things get worse in the economy, they will have no choice. That is what I'm waiting for . So yes it will be possible to get it for 29,xxx

Out here in Utah they have been selling every X they have been getting. At least in SLC.

I guess thats good for utah, but evry dealer in florida has a large inventory of x's and alot of dealers on the east coast as well. I don't doubt that they are selling out elsewhere but the overall picture is they are not selling out. My feeling is the economy since most car companies are not doing well and will continue to get worse as the year goes on. I do feel that later into this year and early next year the x"s will be under 30k just like they did at one point when the IX's were around. That is what I'm waiting for

Here is THE question...how much is this going to effect the price of a IX? I am seeing low mile IXs going for 28K 29K. When are we going to see the price DROP in the IX?

At some point I hope to pick up a NICE low mile IX that some punk kid hasnt mashed around town for 25K or less.
