Evo X boost gauge installed

Well just did this for a fellow Evo owner.. took some DSM know how, Evo know how and here it is. What do you guys think?

When I see how to take the dash apart I'll hide the lines better but for now the owner (honda2Evo) is very pleased and since he's happy I am happy.

Lines were ran under the dash and up the weatherstripping of the door as shown

Any advise on running the lines alittle more hidden are welcome also

~Jon

Doesn't that obstruct your view when you're driving?

I mean, it looks nice it's just right there in your front windshield.

loks good, but if you hide the wire more it would be perfect

please read between the pics guys...

the placement of the gauge doesn't obstruct any view at all surprisingly and as I'm sure all of you that have had boost gauges after awhile.. you learn to just "look past" the gauge and only concentrate on it when you really want to

Taped wire line laying across the top of dash looks really bad in my opinion. You need to clean up that install a lot.

Yeah, I am not a fan of the run since all the cable is exposed. I rather like my placement a bit better, since no wires show.

with a little more time invested in that the wires probably could of gone a better path.

Yeah come on you can think of a better place to put it than that.. Do you have any mods yet? If not then why even put a guage in right now.. Wait and look around for at least some kind of pillar mount or something.

You have a nice new evo X.. Keep it clean..

I agree with most people on this one. That looks terrible. Why not just stick it to the dash with duct tape? That might actually look better.

Well I plan to look into hiding the wires alot better but for the moment thats what I could do and as for the placement thats what he wanted. I am looking into running alot better underneath the dash once I see how the dash is put together and taken apart.
As for the ghetto installs quotes... you think ghetto your entitled to your opinion...
he is happy with it and it works well and its about function right now since we are going to keep track of it since we've noticed 25psi spikes when he nails it before falling down to 19-20psi... who knows he might go Zeitronix later for an even easier install in time. I'll be upgrading his exhaust, intake, and upper pipe in the following weeks.
