Hey guys! I just went and test drove the new Evo X and fell in love. I was skeptical at first about even going to look one due to not loving the styling in pics. BUT i fell in love when i saw it. I was very impressed with the handling and well behaved normal driving in the car. It is a big upgrade in quality from the 8 and 9 to the 10.

So now i find out my brother ordered a new 335xi coupe. So i talked to the guy at the dealership and he said they could knock off the markup and work something out price wise with me. I have a trade of a 2006 Acura TL. I am probably looking in about a month or so to be getting one!


Notes: Saw evo, fell in love, planning to buy!

 

The shift boot from the 8/9 is real leather, there isnt any cheap fake CF on the recaros seats, the wing on the 8/9 is CF and the 8 is all CF

The seat belt come on the 8/9 is made by takata, HID came stander on the 03/04 in the 8s and the list can go on and on...

How is it a big upgrade in quality form the 8/9 to the 10 again?

as far as raw power and parts available it is a downgrade in my opinion,plus those tailights are the ugliest thing i ever seen there;s nothing like a 4g63 imo

my bro is gettin the Dinan Exhaust, Stage1 Chip, Front mount and intake (they released a week ago i believe) and the oil cooler they said is necessary.

For those of you who have test drove the new STI (Dealer wont let anyone...) what are your thoughts on the differences?

 

It's an evo. The boy racer will always be there. It just looks a little softer.

 

Shift boot lol? I guess everyone has their own idea of interior and luxary quality. I think the 10 is miles ahead of the 8/9. The 8/9 had a sound system that pooped sound waves out and no navigation option. No cruise control either and if you got the RS you had to actually ROLL the windows down . I get an MP3 player, a hard drive, DVD player, and a great sound system...these are things I notice and use...the shift boot? fawk that.

 

Quality and cover up is like apples and oranges. If I wouldnt want cruise control in my race car....I never understood the whole leater seats and cruise control deal in an Evo or Sti....if you care so much on that why not just get an M3

dvd player should be in SUV or other show/slow vehicles. (Like the Evo X =D)


BTW the RS was made for its weight, even tho a lot of broke fools got in on it because its was cheap but if i could turn back time I would have gonna a 06 Evo 9 RS. There isnt any wrong with roll down windows if thats what you are looking for in a RACE CAR

 

I did tested the new STi, I real do like how it look somewhat like a sleeper/ big civic hb but for the price of the X and the new STi...I say wait for the new 135
