Any previous 06-07 SI owners here
but the Nav in the Mitsu can control other things like fast key functions and things, play DVDs etc.... Honda is behind in sound also...
I sell both, and it is a very natural progression... (si to evo)
I went RSX type S (basically the new si) to a EVO 8, then a TSX (family) and now to a GTR (whenever it gets here!!!!)

The Si's (and EX's, for that matter) stereo is pretty close to the Rockford in the SSS package, and certainly better than the base Evo's stereo. Having the sub reflect off the back window makes the bass blend a bit better I think... it always sounds so distant in the X. It's not as powerful, but sounded cleaner. That's one of the reasons I went with the X over the STI. I don't want to screw with stereo components, and I was spoiled by the Si's OEM system. The STI couldn't compare. Stupid, I know, but it was a consideration.
The Navi system in the Honda is quite a bit better for navigation functions, but you're right, that's pretty much all it does. It doesn't have any of the neat features of the MMCS.
You'll have to post up pics of the GTR when it arrives.

I have the SI and the X. I love driving Both car. Switching between two cars, I miss the other. I am new to the Turbo setup and not a big fan of turbo lag. I love the N/A on the Civic but not a fan of the Rev hang. I think both cars are on top of their class. No hate on either cars...I love them both!
