Phantom Black
Went to coconut creek mitsubishi outside of Ft Lauderdale yesterday and saw they now have the phantom black evox. At first the salesman said they only come in the mr and jumped down my throat saying its for the mr. Then I told him that I can now get the evo x for invoice. He laughed at me and told me their will be only 300 gsr's in the U.S. and 300 mr's worldwide.
Anyhow as I got up to leave the manager said wait we got in 1 phantom black 2 days ago and He would sell it to me for invoice. That shut the salesman up quick.
The only problem is they will only get 21k for my IX se
. I have 16k miles and only have exhuast with brand new advans on. The phantom black was a base gsr and would'nt do it even if they gave me a respectible offer for my car.
I'll try and sell private orsometing but the phantom black does look good in person.

My dad lives in Naples. One thing I have noticed is that car dealerships in Florida are total sharks. Used cars too, there are a ton of cars for sale that dealers have where Carfax does not match. Pretty scary stuff.
If you are serious about selling your IX, advertise it on here. There are a lot of people looking for a nice low mileage IX for yours. Good luck.

I'm going to check one more dealer but I already know, like you said this is Florida
The only number that matters when you have a trade involved is the "differance" The differance is how much you have to come out of pocket after they factor in your trade. Go into a dealership and tell them what you are willing to pay differance rather than what they will sell their X for. <----seven years experience as a salesman

also tried trading my 9se for a X and they gave me $23500 for my 30K miles 9se. it have swift springs, new kumho tires on stock BBS, JDm bumper. aside from that it goes back to stock.. Have to turn it down coz my monthly payment will still go up by $100/ month with $1k down.
im going to go take a look at the PB over there a CC mitsu.. Glad to know they told you they would sell it for invoice that way when i go in there and tell them the # i want it for i know it will be possible..

LMK if you get it,Thanks
I'm from Tampa, but I'm stationed in Texas. I always buy out of state now cause less BS then in Florida. They gave you invoice and at the same time gave you $3-4k less. They are just playing numbers games with you. I had the same thing happen when I bought my Evo VIII. You need to private party sell it and get a Evo X that way. You just have to pay a little more in sales tax cause you don't have a trade in.
The other thing that Florida dealers love to do is charge you a dealer fee of $399 to transfer your tag.
Also, since my car stays out of state (for at least six months), there is an exemption from Florida sales tax.
