My review on the X's behalf!

I purchased my first Lancer Evolution today around 2:10 p.m. at Medina Mitsubishi... Located in the North East area of Ohio. First and foremost, their service was great, they took me out to breakfast (on them), ate 4k of negative equity and abolished all mark ups to assure me the best payment possible. If you're in the Ohio area and considering the X, by all means shop Medina Mitsubishi!

On the cars behalf, WOW!!! I've owned fast cars before but I could actually feel the G's beating against my heart as I shifted from 2nd to 3rd. I haven't had this car over 65 nor will I, I purchased this car for many different reasons and speed wasn't a factor. However I will tell you this, the X by all means is just as aggressive as the 9 it replaces.

The handling is breathe taking, under steer is no longer present and there's defiantly ghosts in this machine. I purchased the apex Silver Evo with SSS and Aero package and this car screams sex appeal, from any angle. The car literally scares me, I've come to the conclusion I no longer need to prove my car to anyone, let alone someone looking for a race.

I will not modify this car, drag race it or rip on the clutch! I happen to have a 2 1/2 year old daughter who needs her father to continue to love and support her (day in and day out)! I thank GOD for this opportunity so, it's time to respect his wishes and drive this car with respect. The X is everything they say it is and then some... you by all means will enjoy this car inside and out. PEACE and GOD BLESS.

P.S. I'll post pictures in the morning.

wow that is great service. My dealership virtually ate my lunch and offered me negative equity

All jokes aside I got a good deal on my IX but not as great a service as you got. Doesn't take much to please a sucker like me, but buy me breakfast and you'd almost have a customer for life if the price was also competitive.

I'm also glad to hear you dig your new X so much, congrats man. I'm on the same boat as you - I'm still going strong on the "I'm keeping it stock," soapbox for now - although I've only had it two months. I need my (some would say evaporative) warranty too badly.

Kind of like you, I upgraded from a lancer ralliart to the IX, and the car is still really exciting for me in stock form too. Hope you can avoid the bug, supposedly all evo owners get it eventually.

I'm surprised Medina gave you any sort of deal at all. I talked to them about a GG one they had for a few weeks ago, but they wouldn't budge from MSRP.

They got back to me after I bought at South Coast, and urged me to keep what I paid to myself to preserve their profits.

"If you have a found a dealer willing to sell you an Evo at invoice.... please don't spread the word. As much as it's a deal for you, it's insane for a dealer to do that."

Nice...

Hrm?!?

Glad to hear you had such a great purchasing experience. This is definitely as rare as are cars the value of the Evo.

I am a bit confused by this also... perhaps you're still excited with the new purchase?

The main reason Medina Mitsubishi worked with me was due to our long relationship. I've purchased 4 cars from them and had two of my friends purchase galants, not to mention my father purchased the Endeavor just a few days before I bought the X.

As far as the speed not being a factor, it's not (just a bonus I suppose). I really got into the Lancer for it's heritage in the WRC, not to mention it's handling capabilities and over all appeal. I didn't pay under MSRP they just waved their mark ups due to my long relationship with the dealership it's self. Great guys to work with, they make you feel like your part of the family.

On a side note, I've owned both a 2005 OZ Lancer and 08 GTS (not exactly indy car speed lol) so you can kinda see I really get into the whole Lancer=WRC thing. Thanks for all the kind words guys, I'm taking pictures here within the hour and should have them up by the time my daughter takes her nap.

P.S. I let my Dad test drive the car today, he's 50 but looked as though he felt 21 again. The Evolution defiantly has magical abilities. It feels great to have finally joined the EVo brotherhood. Peace and GOD BLESS my good men! They also had to up my warranty to 10 years 100k miles (on the power train) in order for Hunting to finance me lol.

Big congrats!! But I hope you're past the big stroller stage b/c I think you'll have a hard time getting one in that trunk! And when can we expect to see the "Evo X Dads for Jesus" subsection? Let's see, I've got the daughter already, now maybe I should start praying for the Evo! Seriously, though, congrats and enjoy! I can understand how you might feel blessed to the point of giddiness at this point.

That's weird. They didn't quote me markups on any of their Evos, and to their credit were at least straightforward in saying they wanted MSRP for it. Sounds like your long relationship didn't get you anything at all.

As long as you're happy, I guess. Congrats on the car, I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

I thought you would of got a deal on the car, after all that business you brought them. And the fact that the evo x is not a proven platform either, which is why i dont see any reason why anybody would pay a mark up for a evo x or even msrp. I bought a evo 9 when they first came out and i paid invoice maybe less, and that was my first mitsu by the way. By the way you feel into their trap and got played by medina mitsu. Just be careful next time and dont rush to buy a evo x. No offense.

They wanted 41k for the car, 2,300 fair mark up, which was waved.
