Any word on the MR release?
I could barely understand that.....Anyway, do you think that problem with power increase is over time? Or right away?

From what I've seen thus far, they seem fine, but yeah, I'm not planning on picking any sort of Evo up until early 2009. I do want to see some long-term road tests before I put money down on something this expensive, but in terms of traditional 5-speed versus the TC-SST, I understand why a purest like you (apex_silver) would go for the manual, but whatever I end up getting will be for practicality and a daily driver in an area with ridiculous amounts of traffic.
It's in pretty good shape for being 17 years old. That generation of M5s has always been a dream of mine. Last of the handbuilt ///Ms, only 1600 units imported to the US in the three years it was available ('91 - '93). I was actually in the market for a E34 525i Touring (wagon) but I came across this beaut and the price was too good to pass up.

You should see them around in June. I talked to the manager at my local dealer and he said that they will probably be priced at a minimum of $42,000 and max out at $48,000 with the best package.
... the base price should be at $38k, not $42k!
OK guys...checked yesterday and they are still on schedule but more towards the later end of the range I said earlier. Meaning more around june. I have been assured that cars are completed and on boats just in transit.
I'll get exited when I hear that it will support 350whp. Until then It is a very neat but overpriced Evolution. Man, in 2003 I bought my first Evo VIII for about $30,000 OTD, now five years later an Evo is supposidly worth $42,000-$48,000? I know that it is good, that it is better, but I do not think that it is THAT much better! We're getting well into Corvette territory and irreguardless of what some people may say or think the 08 Vette is one bad dude. They are 12.5's out of the door and well into the 11's with very little money spent.... They turn and stop pretty damn well also.
