EVO MR pricing
they I add the extras you can get aftermarket all of those and have 2 grand to add in Powerparts on a GSR. I just can see the SST worth that money.
The aftermarket will always be cheaper for additions, but usually not OEM quality. BMW charges $2,700 as a stand alone option for its SST/DCT transmission.
While I had hoped the MR would be priced a little lower, Mitsubishi stayed true to their word of $38-39K as reported by edmunds.com back in 12/07.
Nothing shocking there.
Some of you guys are still living in 1999 and are way off base about how cheap cars should be.
38k base and 41-42k w/ navi and destination is right where everybody thought it would come in.
The old MR's were 36k w/ no navi, bluetooth, or other tech upgrades.
Every other japanese car w/ 300 hp and all the goodies is 40k. Go look at an Infiniti G35 or an Acura TL Spec A.
Welcome to reality.

I don't think an Acura TL or an Infiniti G35 is a luxury car. Nice, but nothing special.
There's a certain amount of cheapness in any mid 30's price point Japanese car in the interior.
There's no AWD or Recaro seats in an 39k Acura TL w/ navigation. A twin clutch tranny is far more expensive to build than a regular automatic.
MR pricing is right where it should be.

You are also luxury is debatable, but they are fwd pieces of garbage in the performance department. Without a snowballs chance in hell of keeping up with an evo in a turn. The evo is made to preform not pamper your ***. This is actually less than I was expecting to pay so I'm happy!
Oh, I get it. Some accountant told the execs they need to recoup the cost on the first four cars sold so voila they added $6K to the price of the GSR. Seems like a good deal.
Mitsu is blowing it on the price.

wow, part of me was actually considering purchasing a MR... only because I might be moving to Philly and I don't wanna deal with shifting in traffic and in-city driving... but for that price, I'd rather spend my time shifting and having fun with the pedals than pay that premium...
are you serious? you paid 41k for a fully loaded GSR? damn man... I'm so glad the dealerships around me are dropping their prices... I can get a base GSR for only $30,000 and fully loaded, for like $33,000...
