So who traded in what to get a X
I went through the thread and tried to count up what people had traded. This was a manual process, so was of course not 100% accurate.
Not everyone did straight trades, so I had to make up some rules about what to count and what not to. Basically, I was looking for an indication that their car was traded or sold specifically so that the X could be bought.
Examples Of Things Not Counted
-------
Bought X and later sold old car.
Sold old car AND later bought an X. (But I did count: Sold car SO could buy an X.)
Wrecked old car and used insurance money to buy an X.
Has future plans to get an X.
I only kept track of cars I thought were for some reason interesting. (Sorry, Eclipse guys.) I counted non-Evo Lancers because I found the idea of upgrading interesting.
I used leading zeroes on the counts below so things will line up halfway decently.
I myself traded in 2003 Evo VIII I bought pre-owned in May 2004. My new baby was a brand new 2010 Evo X GSR with no options whatsover. My only regret was that I could not keep the VIII.

then all the sudden I evolved into a new being lol
had a RSX-S (loved it) got a S2K on top of the DC5. wife didn't like s2k=sold it and DC5 for the X. Kinda miss both my Hondas lol. If I could get P0403 and P0090 SES codes to go away then I'd have no regrets minus the gas mileage and cost of maintenance lol
haha i'm coming from Honda too ... sold my FG2 06 ,and a DC5 05 some years ago ...
now, at least i was able to keep my ITR k-swapped for track /lapping and my evo for daily with occasionnally track .
I think i have both best worlds with the evo, boost, awd and still my n/a high rev screaming
I traded in my 2003 350z Touring 6speed for a 2011 Evo X MR yesterday. Loving the Evo so far, but it was a bit of an impulse buy and I kind of already regret not keeping the Z as well. I had the Z for over 6 years and it was a great car with absolutely no problems. Maybe I'll get another one at some point. The steering feel alone was worth getting the Evo though, and I was ready for four doors.
