Price of gas vs. Evo X owners
Thats what I am talking about..
I paid 3.94 2 days ago and now it's 4.15 in ohio! When I filled up the other night it cost me 43 bucks, this car is my daily driver and I achieve decent gas milage! Still haven't seen a big difference from GTS to EVO.
4.07 the other day for 93, they say it might reach 6.00 or so this summer.
I work about 15 miles to work 15 miles home. do the speed limit. go out sumtimes on the weekends but not to far.
im pushing 363whp on an average of 22-24 hwy mileage.
i can average one tank of gas a week @ roughly 45dollars a tank.
this summer its gonna be 200++ a month for freaking gas alone..ahh..

here is an email I was forwarded today:
Subject: Do Not Buy Gas on May 15
MAY 15TH..."DON'T PUMP GAS.
On MAY 15th In April 1997, there was a "gas out" conducted nationwide in protest of gas prices. Gasoline prices dropped 30 cents a gallon overnight.
On May 15th 2008, all internet users are to not go to a gas station in protest of high gas prices. Gas is now over $3.50 a gallon in most places.
There are 73,000,000+ American members currently
on the internet network, and the average car takes about 30 to 50 dollars to fill up.
If all users did not go to the pump on the 15th, it would take
$2,292,000,000. 00 (that's almost 3 BILLION) out of the oil companies pockets for just one day, so please do not go to the gas station on May 15th and lets try to put a dent in the Middle Eastern oil industry for at least one day.

I've not seen more than a pound or two of boost in a month in my 8. The car made a bit of sense when gas was $2.50/gallon and no sense for my job at $4/gallon. So no X for me as much as I wanted one, just doesn't make sense to drive a car like that and keep off the throttle to avoid using gas. On the plus side, I've been averaging about 23mpg city driving this way but two tanks a week is hitting the wallet a bit hard. I'm actually going to ride my wife's Ducati Monster to work whenever possible. That thing averages about 60mpg even when thrashing it.
$4.25/gallon for 93 octane here in the suburbs of IL near Chicago. An all time high. raised 10 cents in the last few hours too. *sigh* , I don't really conservatively drive my car because I think that would be a waste of an EVO and my enjoyment of it, I paid for it..... but I just hate feeling like I get raped every time I gas up.
Update:
$10.31/gallon for 95 octane
$10.52/gallon for 97 octane
.. and get ready..
EUR 70,000 for 2009 Lancer Evo X MR, i'm on the list, delivery date is end August.
That's just the approximate price, i will post the exact price when it's quoted.
EUR 70,000 = USD 108,000 !!
.. and the OTR price for brand-new 2008 Evo IX was EUR 56,500 which makes $87,700.
So.. believe me.. Both your cars & fuel are still quite cheap.

when the EVO's running i get 4-7mpg on Sunoco 110leaded @ $6.50/gal. an EVO is not worth owning unless ur gonna drive it like ur running from the cops.
might as well get a Prius.
i attempted to fill up the Land Rover but the pump stops at $75 so now i can get 3/4 of a tank per week or i will have to start paying cash. pump limit is $75 when u use credit for security reasons or $50 if u use debit card. paid $3.83 for 91octane in AZ.
there are 12 states at or over $4/gal, + 3 cities at or over $5/gal for regular gas. the demand is going up as long as there are natural disasters + india & china buying a million cars/year now that they have a $2500 car they can get from eitherHhyundai, Chery, or Tata...
