I just noticed a dealer kind of close to me has 2 EVO's as specials for 29,353 (was 34083) and 33k (from 38080).

The X basically still offers everything the VIII and IX had to offer. In addition, fast key, navigation, optional SST, nicer interior, nicer exterior - Why wouldn't more people be interested? The only thing in question is the 4B11, which is being proven superior thus far. Time will tell for sure.

SouthCoastMitsu has them also for 29,353. Are they base models? That would explain it....

but it doesnt offer rear wiper, it doesnt offer lighter weight, it doesnt offer sunroof option, it doesnt offer 10/100 warranty, it doesnt offer thousands of mod options yet, including ecuflash,...even then, i am in the market for a X, just depends if my dealer wants to play. going there monday again to iron out the deal, hopefully

you really ant a sunroof? i was happy to not have one, my gtr wont have one either.... the M3 doesnt either... most "sports cars" dont really have it... modding and warranties dont mix and the weight is just new safety features, most cars are growing in weight due to those reasons and the demand for more creature comforts......

The dealers should succumb to counteroffers... especially if the cars have been sitting there for several weeks

The dealership down here is selling Xs like crazy. They aren't doing markups either (Automax, Killeen TX) and they have sold like 6 Xs in the past 2 weeks. Dealerships from all over TX are starting to send their Xs here to sell. I'm stationed at Ft Hood, TX in the Army and this is the biggest post (personell wise) in the States. Most of us Soldiers are in our mid to low 20s, and have huge enlistment bonuses and Iraq money in the bank. As a result, you see a crazy amount of performance cars around here. I just got a 2008 Outlander and I have to say that the FAST key is the best thing since sliced bread. Since I just got a new car from them the dealer is all about trying to get me out of my 8 and into a X. I have to say, it's growing on me

I keep passing the same X on display at Key Mitsubishi in Milford day in, day out (today it had the displeasure of being rained on). Obviously I'm not a fan, but I think it's pretty obvious gas prices nearing 5 (five, as in cinco, as in high, as in the Rocky movie you wish you could forget) keep people away from gas guzzlers.

yea, gas is the main issue here really. I love my 4runner 4x4 SUV, but its my daily driver, I only owe about 10,000 till its paid off. So, most likely by end of year to middle of next year I'll have it paid off. 22 gallon tank, 20 MPG on freeway, about 19 around the streets. Its costing alot of money....an X probably wouldn't be any better for me.
