lol i agree, i cant believe a dealer is coming on here and is trying to defend why they treated a customer so badly. Such a poor showing in my opinion.

Threads like this make me not want the X I really am set on getting one, but my last Mistu ('00 eclipse) was nothing but trouble... My Subie has been trouble free for almost 3 yrs! This is why I am set on waiting for an '09 X. Hopefully they get their act together. Hopefully they fix the materials on the interior too, cause it was not all that impressive.

on my way to the dealer my car started makeing a load screaching noise
pulled into the dealer told the tech i thought the turbo was going bad

I would find the next closest dealer and deal with them. It sounds like your car has been picked apart by people in the service department. There is no way that the turbo should be bad with less than 5000 miles on the car.

You are going to have issues with anything that comes from that current dealer, they have some bad hombres in the service department plain and simple.

I would tell Mitsu to have a brand new car delivered to your house from a reputable dealer other than the one you are dealing with, or refund your money, plus 2k for all your bull****. If they can't do that tell them your calling FOX News.

Be polite, but stay after them, call the case worker every day.

Good luck

You have no case for a lemon law. The fact that the thing wasn't silver like you wanted, and had 300 miles on it has no bearing on anything. You knew both at the time when you signed. They could've had a silver one in the back and not said anything. It was your choice to either buy it, or walk away. You chose to buy it.
You have had 3 unrelated problems. Most lemon laws center around a single problem being fixed, and then returning 3 or 4 times over the course of 18 months, with your car being down for 30 days or more. Sorry bud, but it seems like you just have a little buyer's remorse, and car manufactures deal with that on a daily basis. They're not gonna give you your money back.
Your lip coming unglued and the compartment light melting are minor, and could be fixed within a day. Your clutch slipping is really easy for the tech to diagnose as abuse or defect as soon as he looks at it. If you're certain you didn't abuse it, have 'em tear it apart. If they say it's your fault, have them show you the hot spots, and/or severly worn clutch. Off the top of my head, for it to be a defect, there would need to be fluid getting on it, an improper installation etc.. The clutch/plate would look unmolested. Clutches are black and white. If you wrecked it, it'll show. If you didn't, it won't. Basic...

sorry for ya bro! Hope they fix it!

Fastkevin - Yes, agreed the clutch is black n white and it will show if its been abused. But dont forget, it was driven like hell by people before he bought it.. (.. the 300 miles that were on it...)

Yes, i wud say Robh made a mistake takin a 300 mile driven car but then hey this is NOT AT ALL how bad it should have been.. even if it was abused for the last 300 miles it was driven.. this is just a bad car which i think you shud get rid of..and ask for a new one! clutch n turbo now.. u dont know whats coming next..

Best of luck man!

It know its rough buying your dream car and then having all this trouble after papers signed and money made by the stealership .. dont settle for it until they replace it with brand new car.
