Well, to put things is perspective, this IS an all new Evo and that hasn't happened since 2001 when the CT9A platform (Evo 7) was introduced. When the Evo 8 was introduced to the US market, the Evo 7 was already out for a few years and the bugs on that platform, if any, have been sorted out. These issues are probably just growing pains for the new platform but it's just a shame that Mitsu didn't improve upon on their quality management.

The aero kit is a port installed option , not a dealer or factory installed one... So it really is some bozo.. Sad as it to say... I have not been ordering aero kits on any I order

Don't let this turn into anoither Mitsu or X flamefest. Its the installer, not the product.

My rockers were like that when I bought the car... I demanded they fix it and they did. Turns out t he clips were broken. The clips are part of the rocker itself, so they replaced both rocker panels.

I was at the mitsu dealer and i noticed that as well. They should have it fixed by the time the MR is out. I would think that the dealers would be going back to the guy who puts them on...

The side skirt came off at the back a week ago on my X. All I did was but it back in the hole they got and that was a quick fix. I didn't look after that.

should be covered under the warranty, right? just take it back and have the dealer fix it. I had a problem with my aero kit on delivery where the passenger side sagged a bit towards the rear.

I had them readjust it and had no problems ever since. the dealer told me if i ever had problems with it to just come back and have it readjusted. I think the problem with the sideskirts is that people actually hit them with their foot getting in and out of the car and it pushes it out of alignment. i noticed that after driving some friends or my GF around that they would accidentally hit it.

i dont have the aero kit on mine but the first time i and a friend saw an RR evo X at my dealership wit both aero + nav, thats what we immediately commented on, that the passengers should really be careful considering how the skirts were sticking out way too much.

edit: there is an awesome sale for aero kit at mitsubishiparts.net but with all the complaints about them i wonder if its even worth the hassle. i have to say though that i do love the aero kit.

My side skirt sticks out a little bit on one side like that. I have 5k miles on it, I don't know if they will believe me that it always has been like that...cause it has.

on the rear aero...it looks like the Canadien bumper cover is interfering with the kit. It should fit flush with the bottom defuser.

I have no problems with mine. I think it's the installers just like people say.
