I just recently bought an evo x w/aero kit... having some issues with aerokit with open gaps... anyone that purchased this, did you guys encounter this.. pls help.. really appreciate it...

Take it back to the dealer.

 

mine has done same thing on side skirt

 

did u end up getting it fixed..

 

take it to the dealer and have them make some minor adjustments. Mine looks good but it is just a few plastic clips and double sided tape.

 

I did take it back to the dealer. They even put a new sideskirt but it still ended up having the gap.. Then, I noticed the back when i got home...

 

They said they would be glad to fix it, just have not taken the time to do it. Dealer is Don hearing in Plano,TX. They have been pretty good so far!

I would get it done as quickly as possible. You don't want the dealer thinking you did it somehow, the less time the better.

 

Wow that does not look good at all... did you notice those defects when you purchase the car? Definitely looks like a poor job installing the aero kit. If I were you I'll call the dealer and get it fix ASAP. If it’s a defective sideskirt it will be cover by warranty. If you want I can post you pics of my X on how it supposed to look? But yea definitely go back to the dealer and get it fix again. You got an Evo don’t settle for defects on your car. We pay a lot of money for the car we expect for it to be near perfect. The X in my local dealership had the same problem on the rocker cover.

 

Hmm looks like Mitsu has cut a few corners here and there with the X. First the paint chip problems and now this. When I bought my Evo 8 I never had any problems. Not that I'm hating on the X but if you spent $35k+ on a car, shouldn't it look and feel the part? Just my .2c

 

it is not the kit it is the bozo that put it on before it was sent to the dealer. I had mine put on after I bought it (to avoid the chipping) and it looks better than what you show.

 

i'm getting worried about all these problems. I hope the MR will have some of these problems fixed asap. I wonder if this could explain the delay?
