Common trend here too. Only 2 are sold where I live. Mine and another guy I'm yet to see. We got them in the same week and thats been it ever since. Don't you know the dealership thought they were gonna sell Evos like mad when that happened.

Their sales suck because dealers are charging insane markups. I think its Mitsu's fault and hope they learn.
On the flip side Im glad when my X gets here there wont be too many others on the road. I have yet to spot my first X and I drive a little over 2 hours a day.

yeah but that's probably with the SSS and Aero package, so it's a $1000 markup from MSRP.

Mitsu didn't even offer 07 EVO IX, what were they thinking.

Also, some dealers want too much for the X that could contribute to the drop in sales

Sales suck cause:

1. MItsu brans sucks in public perception
2. Economy is bad
3. EVO is priced to high hence there are more "respected brands" stealing sales folks who can afford a car over 35K are looking at BMW, infinity, etc
4. Many tuners were expecting a bigger performance jump for 9 to 10...
5. EVO looks to much like the econo box lancer which is seen as a POS
6. As the rich get richer and the poor get poorer cars like the EVO have a harder time selling themselves to the shrinking middle class.

Well, this explains why I see more Evos at the dealers than on the road. I was expecting much higher numbers. Oh well...I did my part.

My local Mitsubishi Museum (in Lancaster, CA) has 5 Evo X's for your viewing pleasure. So far, I think they've sold one.

It didn't help that the dealership closed about two years ago and has recently re-opened.

Mitsubishi Museum - That is brilliant!

Same here in Knoxville, Tennessee. They are completely content to let you come in the showroom, look at them, admire the 3-4k worth of meaningless post-MSRP dealer fees, then let you walk right back out the door. And I'm a previous customer who bought a new 2003 Evo 8 from them. They weren't even remotely interested in talking with me. It's beyond stupid.

man you are just not giving it up!

I am doctor and purchased an evo X. I ditched bmw, infinity etc, because they are too many on the road. Evo is unique and agile like none other. if you drive it you know what it is?

Same here in upstate NY, the local mistu dealer has gotten 3 evo x's, still has 3 evo x's, and I've gone in there twice and they don't really seem interested in selling them. Ive even asked a few specific q's related to purchase and they don't seem to want to sit down???

They said they get a ton more interest in the ralliart which they don't know anything about....

Next time I go in there I'm going to ask about a test drive LOL, should go over well.

My local dealer also has four Xs sitting around. They want 40k for them, and they will sit around for longer.
