Took the car out for the track yesterday... it was my first time at an SCCA event in any car.

I came in 8th in Novice, but would have been better if I'd not hit a cone and if I'd run in NSTU rather than NAS since the PAX factor is higher on AS.

Oh well.

My times were:
43.1xx (or 43.2xx?)
43.6xx
41.8xx
41.1xx + 1 cone

1st and 2nd run were ASC off and Gravel mode. Runs 3 and 4 were ASC off and Tramac mode. It was a short, tight course so I can't wait to get out to a longer course so I can see what can be done there!

Fun right? I didn't took mine out with 800 miles on it to a SCCA event. At the end of the day, if i even went, I would have shaved 8seconds off my time. The SCCA event coord. used my car as a test car for the track. He seemed to be impressed with the gription.

I did not go in the NAS class aswell. I never took 4th. Would have been 3rd/2nd but the damn evo scale factor hurts.

This is not a 1/4 mile car. It needs to be turned!

And yes, you better get that picture taken down or have the plate blurred.

Words of caution. DO NOT GO TO YOUR DEALER WITH THOSE TIRES. I repeat that b/c it bears repeating.

Do not go to the dealer with worn tires and low milage. Ever. Those look like stockers too.

If you're tranny breaks,or whatever can be linked to racing, I suggest getting new tires before going in to complain. Also watch your brakes as worn pads show aggressive driving. Which will also void it.

Yes, red-tape plagues my life.

 

I have run 7 events so far and the car is outstanding. I told my dealer to send people my way for rides, so they aren't hassling me (anymore) about running my car
