Possible new owner!
What's up board! My name is Jason. Been lurking around the forums for a few days. Looking to get an Evo X in the next week or 2 hopefully. I have an S2000 now for the last 2 years. Love the car but need a change! There are a few i'm looking at in the $34,100 range with the APR at 4.9 for 60 months. I was wondering how much haggle room is there with the MSRP. What did everyone pay when they bought? From what I was told, they are not selling the way Mitsubishi was hoping. One dealership in my area has 26 on the lot!
Thanks!
Jason

I went to my dealer today and test drove a gsr, they weren't willing to deal at all. $43,000.00 for the car and they would not budge on the price at all (remember this is Canadian pricing). They offered me $10,000.00 on a trade when similar cars are selling for 17k on the private market. They also have 5 evos on there lot and the same 5 evos have been there for four weeks now. I laughed at the guy, and walked out.

I would have done the same! I called 2 dealerships and the one said they mark them up 4k-5k depending on situation ? The other one was extremely nice and said expect to spend way under MSRP!

I went into a local dealership yesterday to test drive a GSR. He was asking MSRP but said they'd haggle a bit cuz they had 9 on the lot. They claimed to have sold 11 already but I'm not buyin it.
I asked him if he'd beat competing dealers prices, but warned me against comin in here tryin to ask for SouthCoast's prices, he laughed when he said he gets 5 calls a day about matching their prices.

i would enjoy the s2000 for the summer, come end of august, go to dealer and work the rebates (mitsu website), car price (invoice posted on internet is not what the dealer will tell you it is, not sure who is right) leftover 08 angle, end of month extra "juice" or dealer cash that they might be able to give you. By then there might actually be dealer cash on this car, then they have hold back.
i just signed at 31, 900 otd for 33915 (base gsr with black paint) i could probably do slightly better, might wait with picking up the car till first week in july, perhaps higher rebates or dealer cash will kick in
