"Limp mode" will make the car idle around 2000 until the engine is shut off. It supposedly limits max boost, but when mine went off the first time, it was about 1/3 of the way through a 20 minute road coarse session. I didn't try to nail everything, left something in reserve, but I was still dang quick. Plenty of power, plenty of high end.

For those who struggle with codes, ANY local auto parts place will 'loan' you a OBDII code reader. The decent ones they loan you will also have a reset.
