OEM suspension problem! Help!

Got my wife her EVOX about a month ago. 600 miles on the ODO. Have to say I am happy with it other than 2 issues that some can help me out with before I bring it to the dealer. So, if any of you have the same issues, please chime in and say what the diagnosis was or if they indeed fixed it.

1st issue. When the car is started and put into gear, and then driven off, a slight sound and delay in the trans or diff occurs. Sounds like gear lash problems or something. If I can spell the sound it would be "shhhhhucka". Once the car is underway, no slippage or lash feeling occurs. Can't figure it out myself without putting it on a lift and checking lash of the diffs.

2nd issue. When the car goes into a dip, the small kind like in a supermarket area for surface water. I'd say about 2 feet long and 3 inches deep, I hear a crunch or clunk sound and can almost feel it in the brake pedal. No, I am not bottoming it out. It almost sounds like defective strut or something maybe the CV is bad or tie-rod ball joint. I have no clue. It does not make the sound when the shocks are extended like going over railroad tracks. Just sharp small impact like in dips going about 2-3 mPH.

Well, any help will be appreciated since I am bringing it to the dealer tommorrow. Just thought some of you would have had the same issues and had them resolved.

I think the first issue you are hearing is the clutchs on the or AC compressor engaging. I hear that also and that is what I determined it to be. Even if the AC is off. The second problem you are having sounds like the spring blocks used in shipping of the car are still stuck in the springs. Look into the fender at the springs and see if you see a black rubber peice stuck in them. If so pull it out.

it is something to do with the clutch / tranny. Mine does it after i start the car and let the clutch out past the halfway point for the first time of the day. I dont feel it as a problem, feel more like a feature built in.

Mine does it forward and reverse. Everyday I back up to go down the driveway I hear it if the music is off. After having an VIII for so many years, clunks, rattles, and noises don't really bother me unless they're really bad.

Well,

Went to the dealer and they could not find anything out. All they could do was tighten the the subframe bolts. The first issue was suppose to be the dual mass flywheel. Not to confident on the diagnosis since nothing was done. However, they reprogrammed both of my keys since one did not work when I came home after buying the car. Should have checked them but I didn't. They also updated the ECU.

So, in the end, I really feel it must be a defective strut but then again, it could be something totally different. I could buy new coil overs but I am just not into that anymore and my wife would just complain if she has to be very careful at every dip.

Hope some of you can help me out because if you do, I 'll just repair or tighten what is causing the problem. If it is a warranteed part, then I'll just bring it back to the dealer. Pleae, more info and help is needed. And, by the way, the new flash made the car much better on gas and more spirited.

If the sounds I am hearing don't go away in 3000 miles, that is when the dealer will go at it with total examination. I want to fix it myself sooner.

Good luck with it. Sounds like normal play in the driveshaft.
