install boost gauge
My seats are holding up good. (Then again, I have under 20k miles still, so there is still a lot of time to go bad.)
Nothing could be worse than the carbon fiber spoilers on the 8's.. I had one a few years back, and the fading and separating from the clear coat was embarrassing. Anyone else get that on their 8? (Or 9 for that matter)
Also, I like the placement of your boost gauge. I put my turbo timer right there, which has a boost gauge in it...but.... Speaking of which, I found this thread because I was searching for how to install a boost gauge, hoping it would tell me where to connect my TT to an existing boost line. My turbo timer is only running based on time, but I would like to get it hooked up to a boost line, so it will leave my car running the harder I drive. Right now, it is set to the amount of time my car is on, but since I am not driving hard at all times, I don't really think it is accurately letting the turbo cool down.
Anyone know where I can find a boost line to tap into? Somewhere under the dash?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys!

hey guys i have a ww X and i install a boost gauge . its the prosport 52 mm elec. its a nice gauge . but when i was doing the install i realize every interior part its so cheap . for being a $30+ car i figure they would use better parts the plastic mat. feels and looks cheap . the seat are falling apart. by the wanna be carbonfiber insert the little staples they use . i saw a rubber band holding a harness on the steering wheel . found some cut zip ties by the fuses box . the cover under the glove compartment its just attached by two little clips . dont get me wrong i love how the car feels and drives and being my first evo its a fun car to drive but after doing the install on the gauge insted of being a little proud of my gauge i was dissappointed of my cheap interior .

Trade it in and get you a BMW 335 or M3 then.
You don't feel the staples. The staples hold the seat material in the holes where the harnesses can go (the hole with silver things around it). The staples come loose and the material starts poking out around the silver pieces. There are also staples that hold the material along the bottom sides of the seat that come loose over time.
