just got an error message on the deck display and the player doesn work anymore.. i had several different cars so far and never had problem w/ stock deck...wth!. and seems like i m the only one since i couldn't find any threads related to this issue.. anyone else having similar problem w/ mitsu player?

and i got a check engine light out of nowhere.. i was just driving normal.. and it just flashed for a split of a second and went away..

the car is completely stock and only had it for 2 weeks and 600 miles now..
taking it to dealer service tomorrow.

 

disc error im assuming?

have you had the factory reflashes done? that might be the cause of the CEL, are you taking it to SCM?

 

yup! just came back from SCM.
i never played any cds... so i doubt its disc error.
they said the unit is jacked up internally. the player needs to be replaced.
got the factory flashed a day after i purchased em.
sucks,,,, but i m glad i live near SCM. i think his name was scott.. he is awsome

 

HAD THIS HAPPEN TO ME TODAY, just pulled the radio fuse in and out and it worked again. Good luck

 

I would try the fuse suggestion above. Seemed to work for me too.
