30 minutes?! Damn...took me about 2 hours taking my time and doing it right.

 

That felt is like a necessity. I had to do the same thing with my car. Why not just have it in,from the factory.

 

Just got my TINT PROTECTOR in the mail. I looks like a pain in the *** to install. Got to wait till I know its not going to rain.

 

The Tint Protector kit is easy to install. Once you do one window the rest are a breeze.

 

yes just rem there are two sets of window moldings in the evo x and they are extremly tight specialy the one inside the door and i didnt get scratches yet just alot of bubbles guys redoing the windows this week so we will see

 

I had no issues with my tint. I waited 7 days after my windows were tinted before rolling them down. I used a finger to pop the seals back out. It was a very tight fit, but I managed.

 

It's easier to buy the Tint Protector kit then to get the tint streaks and have to re-tint it all over again. Having the kit ready "just in case" is better than the alternative.

I'm running 15/15 in Michigan, and I have zero issues.

 

Without felt, it's just a matter of time before your tint starts to streak and scratch like the pictures.

 

Not true... I've got no felt on my windows, and they are 100% scratch free. Tint has been on the car since the day after purchase. I'd say that it's highly likely you'll get scratches, but it's not guaranteed. My previous vehicle, 09 Lancer GTS, had one nice big scratch, but nothing more. So while it's common, it doesn't always happen

 

Did the tint tech trim the seal away from the window. I've seen that in a Lancer loaner car.

 

I have seen that too. It's a bad idea IMHO.

I have scratches, and I have heard of others having scratches as well. I hate it, I deal with it... for now. Eventually, when I am not feeling so lazy I'll just remove the tint.
