Rattle under car
I have searched and found a few posts but not many...thought I would ask.
Issue:
Rattle from under the car. Sounds like it's under the read diff or muffler.
When it occurs:
When the car is cold. Simply close the trunk and I get a "tink, tink, tink". I also hear it on small bumps with the windows down. Also hear it on slow shifts from 1-2 or 2-3.
Once the car has been driven for a while it disapears. I am sure it's a heat shield, but I cannot find it. My dealer is 1 1/2 hrs away, so by the time I get there the rattle is gone.
Anyone else have this?

FWIW the jack in my trunk wasn't staying in place sometimes and gave me all kinds of different rattles that had me guessing. In the end it was just the jack...so that may be worth the 30 seconds it'll take to check. This prob isn't your issue but it's just a thought.
i know what it is! well actually i dont know what its called, but if you look under your car near your muffler there is this metal "thing" that holds two black metal wires apart....or togeter idk... but it just came loose, just push it back into place and you wont hear it anymore

Thank you so much... I found what you were referring to..It is a small metal bracket that keeps the two hydralic lines parallel behind the diff. It was loose and sliding all over the place. I took pics of it for others. I will post them tomorrow once I verify that the sound is gone.
