Rear Bumper Paint Promblem!

Hey fellas, as i was glancing at my Evo today i noticed something that is very disturbing. It appears my paint is peeling where the rear bumper meets the body, i have not taken off the rear bumper or anything like that so i dont even know how this happened. So my question is do you think the dealer will do anything about it? If they did will they repaint it or just get a whole new bumper?

Heres a pic,

I had the same problem and they replaced the whole rear bumper for me in Japan. There are actually quite a few of us here that had the same problem.

Here's mine:

10 Subarus, not 1 paint problem. 1 Lancer, and paint faded after 6 months of ownership. The red became dark pink on all plastic pieces...

The paint on my S2000 scratches and chips so easily. The WRX I had prior to the Honda wasn't any better either. I guess that's one of the areas the manufacturer cuts corners.

Yea, mine is doing that too. I just chalk it up to the car's build quality being TRASH.

I'd take it to the dealer but they tell me that it was because I put gas in the car hence rocks came up from when I was driving on the moon and chiped it. Nothing they can do, kthnxbai.

If you're dealers aren't douche bags, like freehold mitsu is, I'd bring it back.

Funny how we have the same opinion of Mitsu (I esp. like your sig) and we also have the same local Mitsu dealer...coincidence? I think not.

Wow, I have a GTS and noticed this on my front bumper where it meets by the wheel well. I just left it because I figured dealer would hassle me about it, but I'm definitely going to print this thread out and bring it with me.

Honda paint has always chipped easily. I've personally owned two Honda's and my wife two also the paint on all of them chipped up badly.
