Evo X MR Dyno Results- Stock
This was on Speed Industries Mustang Dyno (The Heartbraker Dyno) in Troy, MI. My car has 620 miles on it so is still green but I wanted to get a baseline.
201 hp and 217 ft/lbs of trq at the wheels. I put the car in Super Sport, traction control off, and in manual 4th gear. What I was really shocked about was the AF Ratio at Wide Open THrottle was at 8.8
Another stock X MR was dyno'd on this same dyno recently and got similar results. Stock IX MR's were putting down 220 whp today.

Wht don't you like about them?, Itest drove one and the transmission was exquisit, the car felt fast. The good news is that the AFR too rich have easy remedy and the gains can be significant with minor alterations.

Im just not a fan of the trans. Iv seen a few videos on youtube of people trying to launch and it wasnt happening. I mean I cant really give a detailed explination since I havent driven the MR yet. Basically, its just not my cup of tee. Just like the paddle shift idea. It take the fun out of the Evo. I love to bang gears, where in the MR, you dont feel the diff when it shifts. Like I said, Im not bashing the MR, just not my favorite trans.

No worries, I just wanted to get a baseline.
I don't wasnt to mislead people about how low it dyno'd. This particular dyno reads much lower than any other mustang dyno I've witnessed. THere was fully built Evo 8 running on it's E85 tune today that put down 350 whp range. THis particular car traps 120 mph in the quarter mile.

But back to the OP... that is the lowest I've ever seen for a X MR... is that the only dyno in your area? Best thing to do is go to a mustang dyno & dyno jet & compare
I believe that I heard that the X GSRs are also putting down more compared to the MRs... like 10-20 more hp
seems this may be the culprit: "One by one, we got the cars strapped to the outdoor Dynamic Test Systems Dyno. We dynoed the GSR first and it put down 268 AWHP, near what was expected on this particular dyno. Next up was the Subaru, which pulled 273 AWHP, besting the Evo. Finally, we tied down the MR, which read a mere 246 AWHP. We were surprised at first with the low consistent number from the MR. After consulting with Mitsubishi about the issue, it was concluded that the ‘too-smart for the dyno transmission and half-dozen ECU’s determined that the front and rear rollers (not connected) were spinning at different speeds and interpreted this difference as an absence of traction, subsequently dialing back power. Even with the low numbers, our experiences over the rest of the weekend suggested the MR had the same amount of power as the GSR."
