+1 Mine too.

Tips are still chromey lookin. The muffler itself has blued a bit. Exhaust is hot ya know!

 

i know it is hot. my last car that i beat on was an srt-4 and that didn't have mufflers to burn.

just seems like the heat has no where to go quick enough with a muffler like the stock one.

the burnt mufflers goes to show you that it is not suitable for this car. 5k miles and burnt bad. i see a hole forming in another 5k miles.

 

all smoke is bad..lol (unless it green)

 

It helped some yeah but they still hang just not as bad. It is only when stopped revving to like 4k or higher usually if I blip it to 3k or less it just drops back down like normal. I'm sure the real tune will fix it. My tips were completely black after the 2 trips to san antonio with LOTS of spirited driving on the way and a few confrontations with the Subie guys

 

Negative ghost rider. Running a little rich will still cause it to black smoke which isn't necessarily bad. It's just stock Evo X run way too rich not just a little rich hence the black smoke.

 

I like black smoke, my daily tune puts out black smoke under high load.

rich = safe, I run 10.5:1 AFR when im DD'n

CEL came on today. could be unrelated and a misread of a sensor after pushing as hard as i did for the first time (to the red line all gears).

if it doesn't go off within 24ish hours, i will have to take it in and find out what the code is.

i am bet it is the same code that the one reflash came out for. i haven't gotten any reflashes yet though.
