Evo X MR vs IS350
What do you drive? An Evo IX? What mods do you have? Unless you're modded, and I mean all bolt-ons and more (or upgraded turbo), then I find it hard to believe. When I was during my break-in period I raced a modded Evo IX and a 2005 Mustang Cobra with exhaust, the Cobra gave me a better race and I walked him easily up to 120 MPH. Both races were driving the car in sport mode but shifting well below redline. The ISF traps at around 114-115 MPH, are you sure you tore your friend a new one???
i completely anihalated the new IS F tonight in my IX....
id post the vid, but it would just be deleted
them cars arent that fast, especially for 65k

race from dig- 4 cars easy
race from roll- about 1 1/2 cars and still pulling when he let off
i have every few bolt ons, i mean my car made less then 300 to the wheels... that car has an easy 200hp on me. i guess i should of got walked to
its not even a drivers car, all you do it press the gas and go. its gonna be pretty consistant. cant blame this on driving

No way would an ISF take on an Evo. I mean it was dead last vs an Audi, BMW, and Benz in C&D a few months back...
It makes sense only if the ISF was driven in D, not Manual shifting, and not selecting sport mode plus keeping traction and steering control ON, otherwise you wouldn't stand a chance. My Evo had more power to the wheels than yours and it was no match against the ISF (driven properly). Maybe you ran an IS250 and you didn't notice...

no trust me.. i know what an ISF looks like and i even talked to the kid
he got raped. give it up. i know what happened during my race, dont try to tell me otherwise. the kid had it in sport mode also cause he told me that too.
its a 13.0 second car... why wouldnt i be able to beat it?

i know what happend when I raced that car, but i guess since other evos have lost to it, i actually lost the race even when i was AT LEAST 4 cars out on this kid

Absolutely true, but this guy stated that he's not even at 300 AWHP, so he's far from trapping at 114mph. That's my point.
I remember some time ago when I raced a Lamborghini Gallardo in a freeway and I pulled a couple of cars on him up to 100mph, I guess he had trouble shifting or something because he should have walked me hard from a roll. Things like this happen...

I could definelty see a well modded and tuned Evo take out an IS-F from a roll or a dig. I would have to say that the driver in the IS-F did not know how to drive his car. It should not have been that bad of a beating...lol IX's can trap in the 114-117mph or higher with you mods. More than enough to handle the IF-S. On the other token a poor driver in an Evo would suffer a big beating to a good driver in an IS-F. It is just who is behind the wheel and how hard they like to play. Crap I took out cars in my Evo that should have creamed me.... Poor driving and not know which gear to be in was their down fall.

A heavely modded Evo can kill most cars on the road, so no news for me there. I could mod the hell out of my Evo and make it a C6 Z06 killer, but I wasn't after that.
I can post plenty of videos that will show you a different story about the ISF, but you have to drive one to understand. I've seen videos where the ISF comes last, then some other videos where it's the winner. When I got mine I narrowed my choices down to C63, E90 M3, and ISF. They are pretty much the same in all aspects: speed, comfort, price, HP, etc. I ended up buying the ISF because I feel more comfortable inside the car than in the other 2. Actually I find the C63's interior as nice as the ISF, but the M3's interior is just ugly (IMO).

Back to the original question, get your priorities straight and test drive both cars, they are 2 different cars so here you won't get the advice that you're looking for.
